Yarn:

Peaches and Cream Cotton Yarn (70.9 g / 120 yds): 1 ball color of choice

Materials / Tools:

I/9 5.5mm Hook

Yarn Needle

Difficulty:

Easy

Finished Size:

7 ½ x 7 ½ inches

Gauge:

Not critical for this project

Special Stitches:

Front Post double crochet (FPdc): Yarn over. Insert your hook front-to-back around the post of the stitch in the previous row so that the post you want to crochet around is in front of your hook. Yarn over again and pull through. There will be three loops on your hook, just like there would at this stage of a normal double crochet. Proceed as normal with your double crochet stitch

Back Post double crochet (BPdc): Yarn over. Insert your hook back-to-front around the post of the stitch in the previous row so that the post you want to crochet around is behind your hook. Yarn over again and pull through. There will be three loops on your hook, just like there would at this stage of a normal double crochet. Proceed as normal with your double crochet stitch

Notes:

1. Similar weight yarns can be substituted.

2. Gauge is not critical for this project.

3. You will be working a FPdc into the backside of the FPdc and BPdc into the backside of the BPdc from the previous row so it will always be alternating which gives it that “woven” look
