Materials

Light brown, dark brown, and cream yarn (I used a yarn called dolce by yarn art).
Crochet hook 5 mm.
Tapestry needle.
Scissors.
Stitch marker.
Stuffing.
Eyes (I used 12 or 15 mm).
Black felt for nose.
Glue (I used e6000).

R- Round
MR- Magic ring
Ch- Chain
Slst- Slip stitch
Sc- Single crochet
Hdc- Half double crochet
Inc- Increase
Dec- Decrease

Legs

R1. 8 sc in MR (8)
R2. 8 inc (16)
R3-7. 16 sc (5 rounds)
Fasten off and leave a small tail for sewing.
Repeat R1-7 and don’t fasten off.

Body

R8. To attach the legs, first ch 2, 16 sc in the first leg, 2 sc in the previous 2ch, 16 sc in the second leg, 2 sc in the same 2 ch again (36)
If there are any holes between the legs, use the tail from the first leg to sew close.

Sc shut across. Fasten off and leave a small tail for sewing.

Hair

Make a slip knot and ch 5, sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, 2 hdc, slst.
Ch 4, sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, 2 hdc, slst into the same stitch you previously slst into.
Repeat this two more times. You should have 4 hairs. Fasten off and leave a tail for sewing.

Face (in cream color)

R1. 6 sc in MR (6)
R2. 6 inc (12)
R3. (1sc,inc)x6 (18)
R4. (2sc,inc)x6 (24)
R5. (3sc,inc)x6 (30)
R6. 30 sc (30)
Slst and fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing.

Eye patches (in dark brown color) x2

Slip knot and ch 6, sc into the 2nd ch from the hook, and mark that stitch with a stitch marker.
3 sc, 3 sc into the last stitch. Turn over your work and 4 sc, 3 sc into the last stitch.
Slst into the marked stitch (14)

Assembly

Sew arms beneath the head at either side at R22.
Sew the face to the head. Before sewing the eye patches you can insert your safety eyes on them. Place the eye patches using pins and sew them on the head. You can sew the eye patches starting from R3-4 of the face.
Another option is to glue the eyes.
Sew hair at the top of the head.
Use felt or embroider nose.
