Materials
- Scheepjes Catona – Hot Red (4 ply cotton)
- Scheepjes Catona – Kiwi
- (4 ply cotton)
- Scrap of yellow cotton
- 3 mm crochet hook
- Bodkin
Size: To fit standard pocket tissue packet of 11cm x 5.5cm x 2.5cm
Pattern notes
The pattern is written using UK terminology
The front, back and sides are made seperately and then sewn together, while the leaves are added once the pouch is assembled.

Pouch
Make front and back as follows with Hot Red.
The tissue holder is worked in rows. End each row with a turning chain.
Foundation: 12 ch
Row 1: dc in second ch from hook. Dc along. (11dc)
Row 2 -23: dc along (11).
Fasten off and sew the “seeds” in place using the yellow cotton.
Side
Use Hot Red.
Foundation: Ch 55.
Row 1: Tr in 3rd ch from hook. Dc across. (53)
With Hot Red whip stitch the sides to the front and back.
Decoration
Use Kiwi. Starting in a corner of the top of the pouch, dc in every stitch also working 2 dc into the sides of the pouch. Make 2 rounds of dc in Kiwi.
Leaves
Make 6 and use Kiwi.
Foundation: 11 chain.
Round 1: In second ch from hook dc. Then 2htr, 2tr, 2dtr, tr, htr, dc, [3dc], (you are now working down the other side of the leaf into the back of the chains), dc, htr, tr, 2dtr, 2tr, 2htr, 1 dc. Fasten off.
Then sew the leaves into place on the front and back of the pouch.
