Petals will be made individually and separate from the stem/leaf.
Pattern
Petals
Row 1: Ch 6, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, hdc in next 2 ch, dc in next 2 ch, ch 2, sl st in last st where last dc was worked. Fasten off.
For each tulip applique, make 6 petals (3 petals per tulip).
Stems
Use green.
Row 1: Ch 9, sl st in 2nd ch from hook, sc in remaining st. Ch 10.
Fasten off.
For each tulip applique, make 2 stems/leaves.
Assembly – Use photo as a guide.
Each tulip flower consists of 3 petals. Sew together to make one flower. Sew flower onto stem/leaf.
Sew two tulips (flower/stem) onto cream granny squares for the Spring Blanket.

Round 3: Ch 3 (counts as stitch), (dc, ch 2, 2dc) in same st as ch 3, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, *(2dc, ch 2, 2dc) all in next st, dc in next st, hdc in next st, sc in next st, hdc in next st, dc in next st, repeat from * around, join to beginning ch 3
Round 4: Sl st to ch 2 space from previous row, Ch 3 (counts as st) (dc, ch 2, 2dc) all in same ch 2 space, dc across, *(2dc, ch 2, 2dc) all in ch 2 space from previous row, dc across, repeat from * around, join to beginning ch 3
Round 5: Repeat Round 4
Fasten off and weave in ends.
