Spring Crochet Hat for Baby Girl

You’ll need:

50g of pink Island yarn (100% cotton; 125m/50g);

50g of the same yarn, but in white color;

Crochet hook 3.

Size: 3-4 months.

Note: make slip st tighter, chain sts looser. Finish every circle row with chain st in order to avoid replacing of colors change. Insert the crochet hook through back loop and make slip st and chain st with new color yarn, when you change the color.

Instructions

Make 4 chain sts with pink yarn and make slip st in the 1^st chain st increase, circle them in the ring. Then, make 1 chain st and make the 1^st circle row.

1^st row, white yarn: 12 half-crochets in the ring;

2^nd row, pink yarn: double the quantity of half-crochets by means of making 2 half crochets from every half-crochet (24 sts);

3^rd row, white yarn: 1 half crochet, 2 half crochets from 1 half crochet (36 sts);

4^th row, pink yarn: 2 half crochets, 2 half crochets from 1 half crochet (48 sts);

5^th-13^th rows: double crochets, insert the crochet hook between double crochets of the previous row, 1 white row, 1 pink row by turn = 48 sts;

14^th row: work with “shrimp stitch” with pink yarn on WS.

Finish your work.

Make one flower of each color of any design and sew them to the hat.
