Crochet Round Throw
You’ll need:
Approximately 20 - 24 oz of yarn, or use up scraps;
Crochet hook K.
Instructions
Rnd 1. ch 6 , join with sl st.
Rnd 2. ch 1 , 8 sc into ring, join with sl st
Rnd 3. ch 3, dc in same st, ch 2, * 2dc in next st, ch 2.
repeat from * around .join with sl st
Rnd 4. ch 3, dc in same st , 2dc in next st * ch 12, 2dc in each of next 2 st. repeat from * around . join with sl st
Rnd 5. ch 3, dc in next 3 st, * ch 8 , dc in each of next 4 st repeat from * around. join with sl st.
Rnd 6. ch 3 . dc in same st , dc in each of next 2 st, 2dc in next st. *ch 8 , 2dc in next st ,dc in each of next 2 st 2dc in next st. repeat from * around . join with sl st
Rnd 7 . ch 3, dc in each of next 5 st * ch 8 , dc in each of next 6 st. repeat from * around . join with sl st
Rnd 8. ch 3, dc in same st , dc in each of next 4 st, 2 dc in next st* ch 8 , 2dc in next st, dc in next 4 st, 2dc in next st, repeat from * around . join with sl st
Rnd 9. ch 3, dc in next 7 st * ch 8 , dc in next 8 st, repeat from * around . join with sl st
Rnd 10. ch 3 , dc in same st, dc in each of next 6 st, 2dc in next st, * ch 8, 2dc in next st, dc in each of next 6 st, 2dc in next st; repeat from * around . join with sl st
Rnd 11. ch 3,dc in same st, dc in each of next 2 st, ch 2, dc in each of next 4 st ,ch 2 , dc in each of next 2 st, 2 dc in next st, * ch 8, 2dc in next st, dc in each of next 2 st, ch 2, dc in each of next 4 st, ch 2, dc in each of next 2 st, 2dc in next st . repeat from * around, join with sl st.
Rnd 12. ch 3, dc in each of next 3 st, ch 10, dc in each of next 4 st, ch 10, dc in each of next 4 st * ch 8 , dc in each of next 4 st , ch 10, dc in each of next 4 st , ch 10, dc in each of next 4 st. repeat from * around. join with sl st
Rnd 13. ch 3 , dc in each of next 3 dc, * ch 8 , dc in each of next 4 dc.
repeat from * around . join with slip st.
Rnd 14. repeat rnd 13.
Rnd 15. repeat rnd 14
Rnd 16. repeat rnd 15
Rnd 17. ch 3, dc in same st, dc in each st until last st of section, 2dc in last st of section, * ch 8, 2dc in first st of section, dc in each st until last st of section, 2dc in last st of section repeat from * around .join with sl st
Rnd 18. ch 3, dc in next st and in each st of section, * ch 8 , dc in each st of section. repeat from * around . join with sl st.
Rnd 19 . repeat rnd 18
Rnd 20 repeat rnd 19
Rnd 21. repeat rnd 20
Repeat rnds 17-21 for pattern until desired size is obtained.
Last row. ch 3, dc in next st and in each st of section, * ch 4, dc in each st of section. repeat from * around, join with sl st.
Now you lace up the ch sts. first you draw the ch 12 under the ch 2 of the rnd below, then you draw the ch 8, of the next rnd through the ch 12, then draw the ch 8 of the next row through the ch 8 of the row below until you have all the ch sections laced up.
Next rnd. ch 3, dc in each st in section, 3sc in ch loop,* dc in each st of section, 3sc in ch loop repeat from * around join with sl st.
Next rnd . ch 1, sc in first st and in each st around. join with sl st. repeat this rnd one time. finish off.
For a shell border, sl st in first st, ch 1, skip next st, * 4 dc in next st, skip next st ,sl st in next st, skip next st. repeat from * around. join with slip st finish off.
