  • front post double crochet stitch – yarn over, insert the hook behind the post from the front across the post and through the other side, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull thru 2 loops on your hook, yo, pull thru remaining two loops on your hook. 
  • back post double crochet stitch – yarn over, insert the hook from the back of the post, yo, pull up a loop, yo, pull thru 2 loops on your hook, yo, pull thru remaining two loops on your hook.




To make the blanket larger or smaller use a multiple of 4 plus 3 for the chain. The turning chain counts as the first stitch of the row. If wanted to make a 50 x 64 blanket you would want to chain 103.

Color A – Dusk

Row 1: Dc in the 4th chain from the hook. Dc in the next chain and to the end of the row. Chain 3 and turn.

Row 2: Turning chain counts as first dc. Dc in the 2nd stitch and the following 2 stitches, *bpdc in the next stitch. Dc in the next 3 stitches*. Repeat** until the end of the row. Your last stitch will be a dc. (for 4 dc in a row) Chain 1 and turn.

Color B – Navy

Row 3: Turning chain counts as first sc. sc in the 2nd stitch and the following 2 stitches, *fpsc in the next stitch. sc in the next 3 stitches*. Repeat** until the end of the row. Your last stitch will be a sc. (for 4 sc in a row) Chain 3 and turn.

Color C- Glacier

Row 4: Turning chain counts as first dc. Dc in the 2nd stitch and the following 2 stitches, *bpdc in the next stitch. Dc in the next 3 stitches*. Repeat** until the end of the row. Your last stitch will be a dc. (for 4 dc in a row) Chain 3 and turn.

The repeat is 2 rows of double crochet alternating front and back post so the post shows all on the same side. then one row of single crochet.
