Crochet Mini Cat Keychain

Materials Required:
– Yarn – I used a light weight 100% cotton yarn, for example Scheepjes Catona, Hobbii Rainbow 8/4, Söstrene Greene 8/4, Drops Safron, Yarn & Colors Must-have.
– Crochet hook 2.0 mm or 2.2 mm
– Fibrefill/toy stuffing
– Stitch marker, scissor and embroidery needle
– Security eyes 4,5 mm or 5 mm
– Optional: textile glue

Approx. 6 cm/2,5 in. length (tail not included)
HEAD
Work with Grey yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: [inc] x 6 (12)
Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] x 6 (18)
Rnd 4-7: 18 sc — 4 rounds (18)
Place the safety eyes between rounds 5 and 6, with 3-4 stitches inbetween. Stuff the head with filling as you go.
Rnd 8: [1 sc, dec] x 6 (12)
Rnd 9: [dec] x 6 (6)
Fasten off and cut the yarn.
MUZZLE
Work with White yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Slst in next stitch. Cut the yarn and pull it through the last stitch.
EARS – Make 2
Work with Grey yarn. Make 4 ch.
Row 1: Start on the second chain from the hook; 1 sc, 1 dc, 1 sc (3)
Fasten off and leave a long tail.
LEGS – Make 4
Start with White yarn.
No need to stuff.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2-3: 6 sc – 2 rounds (6)
Change to Grey yarn.
Rnd 4-7: 6 sc – 4 rounds (6)
Flatten the leg and make 2 sc across.
Cut off the yarn leaving a long tail, pull it through the last stitch.
TAIL
Work with Grey yarn. No need to stuff.
Rnd 1: 4 sc in a magic ring (4)
Rnd 2-9: 4 sc – 8 rounds (4)
Fasten off and leave a long tail.
BODY
Work with Grey yarn.
Make 6 ch.
Rnd 1: Start on the second chain from the hook; 4 sc, 3 sc in last chain, turn and work on the opposite side of the chain; 3 sc, inc (12)
Rnd 2: inc, 4 sc, [inc] x 2, 4 sc, inc (16)
Rnd 3-8: 16 sc – 6 rounds (16)
Stuff the body with filling as you go.
Rnd 9: [dec, 6 sc] x 2 (14)
Rnd 10: [dec, 5 sc] x 2 (12)
Rnd 11: [dec] x 6 (6)

SIAMESE HEAD
Start with Beige yarn.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2: [inc] x 6 (12)
Rnd 3: [1 sc, inc] x 6 (18)
Dark Brown yarn marked in brown.
Rnd 4: 7 sc, 4 sc, 7 sc (18)
Rnd 5: 6 sc, 6 sc, 6 sc (18)
Rnd 6: 5 sc, 8 sc, 5 sc (18)
Rnd 7: 6 sc, 6 sc, 6 sc (18)
Place the safety eyes between rounds 5 and 6, with 3 stitches inbetween. Centered in the brown area.
Stuff the head with filling as you go.
Rnd 8: [1 sc, dec] x 6 (12)
Rnd 9: [dec] x 6 (6)
Fasten off and cut the yarn.
Muzzle, ears and tail to be crochet in Dark Brown. Body to be crochet in Beige.
SIAMESE LEGS – Make 4
Start with Dark Brown yarn. No need to stuff.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in a magic ring (6)
Rnd 2-5: 6 sc – 4 rounds (6)
Change to Beige yarn.
Rnd 6-7: 6 sc – 2 rounds (6)
Flatten the leg and make 2 sc across. Cut off the yarn leaving a long tail, pull it through the last stitch.
BALL OF YARN
1. Start by wrapping the yarn around the finger.
2. Take your finger off, then continue wrapping the yarn around. Squeeze it as a ball while wrapping.
3. Move the little ball as you wrap, so it becomes round.
4. Wrap until you are satis- fied about the size.
5. Apply a little bit of glue under the last wrap.
6. Hold the yarn tail so it dries a little bit. Cut the yarn.
Mini cat is the perfect size for a keyring!
