Materials

1 skein Red Heart Guacamole Yarn
1 skein Caron One Pound Rose Yarn
1 skein Red Heart White Yarn
6mm hook
Tapestry needle
Polyfill

Abbreviations (US terms)

mr = Magic ring
ch = Chain
sc = Single crochet
inc = Increase
dec = Decrease
hdc = Half Double Crochet
dc = Double Crochet

Notes

I used a discontinued yarn, Red Heart TLC Amore Red Velvet, for the red strawberry; substitute with chenille yarn if needed. Any yarn works; Caron One Pound worsted weight for the main part and Red Heart for the leaves. Finished size is approximately 20 inches tall; sizing variations possible with chunky yarn or a different hook size. Customize the yarn; for a smaller project, use 1 strand and a smaller hook (4.5mm or 5mm).

Instructions

Crochet Strawberry Pillow:

This pattern is made in rounds.
Round 1: Using 2 strands of your main strawberry yarn, make a mr and make sc x6 in the circle. If you find it difficult making a magic ring you can chain 2 and then crochet sc x6 in the second chain from the hook. (6)
Round 2: Inc in every sc. (12)
Round 3: Sc in every stitch. (12)
Round 4: Inc, sc, and then repeat until end of round (18)

Crochet Stem and Leaves:

This part of the pattern is made in rounds.
Round 1: Make a magic ring, then sc x6 into the center of it and pull the mr tight. (6)
Round 2: Inc, sc x2 and then repeat once more. (8)
Round 3-5: Sc in every stitch (8)
Round 6: Inc, sc x3 and then repeat once more. (10)
Round 7: (Ch x11. In the second chain from the hook make a sc, then sc x8 for the remainder of the ch.
You should have 1 chain spot left. Make a sc in that chain but also go through the next sc on the stem, the sc that is next to where you started making the chains. This process is similar to a decrease.

Sc in the next stitch available),
then repeat what is in the parentheses for the rest of the round.
Round 8: For this next round you are going to continue around the leaves you just created to make them bigger.
(Dc x4, hdc x2, sc x3, ch x2 on one side of the leaves, then turn and sc x3, hsc x2, dc x4 on the other side of the leaf. After that dec 3 together.)
Repeat what is in the parentheses for the rest of the round.

Finishing:
Sew Leaves to the top of the strawberry.
Embroider seeds onto the strawberry. I used 2 strands to make bigger seeds, but you can do one or two strands.

And now you have a giant crochet strawberry pillow, made from my crochet strawberry pillow pattern!
