Materials Used:G or 4.00 MM Hook
1 Ball Worsted Weight Yarn in Purple, Light Purple, and Black (Or in similar variation of colors)
Tapestry Needle

Stitches Used:CH – Chain
SC – Single Crochet
HDC – Half Double Crochet
DC – Double Crochet
INC – Increase
DEC – Single Crochet Decrease
SLST – Slip Stitch

Notes:This pattern is written using American crochet terms.
Finished project is made to fit a Wide Mouth Pint Mason Jar.
To make smaller or larger try varying the hook size and yarn weight.
In this pattern the CH 2 at the end of each round does not count as a stitch. Each round ends with a SLST in the rows first DC to join the round.

Body (Starting in Darker Color)
Row 1: Create a magic circle, CH 2 and DC 10 into the circle then pull tight. You may also use a CH 3 and 10 SC into the first chain then pull tight. Join with a SLST in the first DC. You will do this throughout the pattern at the end of each round. CH 2 (10)
Row 2: INC 10, join, CH 2 (20)
Row 3: *DC, INC* 10 times, join, CH 2 (30)

Row 5-6: DC 40, join, CH 2 (40)
Switch to Lighter Color
Row 7: DC 40, join, CH 2 (40)

Switch to Black
Row 9: SC 40, join, CH 1 (40)
