BORDER
Round 1 (RS) Attach Natural with a ss to top-right edge of one short end, ch1 (does not count as dc), dc evenly around with 3dc in each corner st, ss to first dc.
Rounds 2-7 Dc into each st of round, 3dc into each corner, ss to first dc. Fasten off and weave in ends.
FRINGE (OPTIONAL)
Using Natural, cut 768 pieces of yarn 46cm/18in long. Each fringe cluster contains 6 yarn pieces, except the far ends which each contain 3 yarn pieces. Starting at the right corner of one short end of the blanket, insert hook into first st from back to front, fold 3 pieces of yarn in half, pull through st about 5cm, tuck ends of yarn through the loop and tighten knot.
*Skip next 3 sts, insert hook into next st from back to front, fold 6 pieces of yarn in half, grab the centre with hook, pull through st about 5cm, tuck ends of yarn through loop and tighten knot; rep from * across to last st. Repeat the process in the last stitch using 3 yarn pieces. Repeat at the other short end.
For a double-knotted fringe, start at the right-hand side of the blanket, *cross right-most strands over 6 strands from next fringe on left, wrap the right strands around the back of left strands, bring right strands around to front, tuck through loop, pull knot tight; rep from * across blanket along both ends. Trim fringe to neaten.
