  • Lion Brand Wool Ease Thick and Quick in Fisherman
  • 12mm crochet hook
  • Tapestry needle and scissors

Notes:

This hat is made with the wrong side facing you. Once the hat is finished, flip inside out.

Special Stitch:

Half double crochet in 3rd loop: Turn your work towards you, so the top stitches are turned toward you. Find the third loop behind the top stitches. Work the half double crochet into that 3rd loop.

Dimensions: Fits an adult 21″ head circumference.

Gauge: 2″ x 2″ = 3″ x 3″ in hdc in 3rd loop

Ch = chain, hdc = half double crochet, st = stitch, hdc2tog = half double crochet two togetherPattern

Round 1: Ch 28, join to first ch

Round 2: Ch 1, hdc in each st around, join to first st

Round 4-11: Repeat Round 3

Round 12: Ch 1, hdc2tog in the 3rd loop around, join to first st

Fasten off and leave tail for sewing.

Weave yarn tail in and out of top stitches, pull to cinch close. Knot and weave in ends.
