​Knit Pink Bolero

You’ll need:

350g of pink yarn Mondial Sidney (100% merino wool; 150m/50g);

Straight knitting needles 3 and 3,5.

Size: S.

Used Patterns

Double rib: cast on the half of the necessary amount of sts with contrast yarn;

1^st row: *1 knit st, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *;

2^nd row: yarn over as knit st, slip 1 purl without knitting, yarn in front of work*; repeat from * to *;

3^rd and all the following rows: * 1 knit st, slip 1 purl, yarn in front of work*; repeat from * to *, take off the contrast yarn.

1 x 1 rib;

Main pattern: due to the scheme.

1^st, 5^th, 9^th and 13^th row: * 8 knit sts, 1 yarn over, broaching, 1 knit st, knit2tog, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to *, 8 knit sts;

2^nd and all the even rows: purl;

3^rd and 11^th rows: * 9 knit sts, 1 yarn over, double broaching, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *, 8 knit sts;

7^th row: cross 8 sts to the right (leave 4 sts on the auxiliary needle behind work, 4 knit sts, 4 knit sts from the auxiliary needle), 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, double broaching, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *, cross 8 sts to the right;

15^th row: * 9 knit sts, 1 yarn over, double broaching, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st, cross 8 sts to the right, 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, double broaching, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *, cross 8 sts to the right;

17^th row: repeat from the 1^st row.

Stitches control: main pattern: 19 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Cast on 90 sts with knitting needles 3,5 and make 72 cm with the main pattern, bind off all the sts. Cast on the central 60 sts along 1 of the short sides and make 9 cm of 1 x 1 rib, double the quantity of sts in this 10^th row. Then, make 2 rows of double rib and bind off all the sts with kitchener’s stitch. Fasten the second short side in the same way. Cast on 209 sts along one of the long sides and make 30 rows with 1 x 1 rib, double the quantity of sts in this 10^th row. Then, make 2 rows of double rob and bind off the sts with kitchener’s stitch. Fasten the second long side in the same way. Fold your work in half and sew the lower edges of short sides on 16 cm, including the plackets, made with rib.
