Grey Bolero with Ruffle

You’ll need:
550 (600) 650g of grey Veneta yarn (100% cotton; 65m/50g);
Straight and circular knitting needles 8.
Size: S (M) L.
Used Patterns
Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls.
Fancy pattern: straight and reversed rows: the quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme 1, on which both RS and WS rows are stated.
Circle rows: the quantity of sts is multiple 6. Work due to the scheme 2, on which all circle rows are stated. Repeat pattern repeat from 1st to 4th rows.
Stitches control: 14 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Cast on 50 (62) 74 sts and work with straight and reversed rows of fancy pattern. For sleeve chamfers, increase 1 x 1 st from both sides in the 2nd row (WS), 2 x 1 st in every row and 9 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 74 (86) 98 sts, include increased sts in the pattern. In 11 cm = 22 rows from the set-up row, decrease 24 (26) 28 x 1 st in every 2nd and 4th rows by turn from the left side for neck-hole; from the right side = lower edge of back, don’t make decreases = 50 (60) 70 sts. In 48 cm = 96 rows (51 cm = 102 rows) 54 cm = 108 rows from the set-up row, the middle of bolero is reached. From this place continue work in symmetry. In 96 cm = 192 rows (102 cm = 204 rows) 108 cm = 216 rows from the set-up row, bind off the rest 50 (62) 74 purls. Make sleeve seams to * on the pattern design. Cast on 210 (228) 246 sts along the edges of front and back and make 1 circle row of knit sts, double every st (= 1 knit st and 1 cross knit from 1 st) = 420 (456) 492 sts. For ruffle, make 9 cm = 18 circle rows with fancy pattern and bind off sts loosely. The height of ruffle = 10 cm.
