You’ll need:

200g of olive Merino Big Superfine yarn (100% sheep wool; 120m/50g);

Crochet hook 5.

Used Patterns

Main pattern A: half-crochets. Start every row with 2 chain sts instead of the 1^st half crochet and finish with 1 half crochet in upper chain st increase of the previous row.

Main pattern B: double crochets. Start every row with 3 chain sts instead of the 1^st double crochet and finish with 1 double crochet in upper chain st increase of the previous row.

Stripe with cables of 9 sts: work due to the scheme 1. Make 1^st-8^th rows x once, then, repeat 3^rd-8^th rows.

Stitches control: main pattern A: 12,5 sts x 10,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Pattern with cable: 5 cm wide;

Main pattern B: 11 sts x 8 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Make 75 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work in the following way: 3 sts of main pattern B, * 9 sts of stripe with cables, 6 sts of main pattern B*; repeat from * to * x 3 times, finish with 9 sts of stripe with cables, 3 sts of main pattern B. For better shaping, bind off 5 x 2 sts between stripes with cables in 15 cm = 12 rows from the set-up row and upon 3 initial and final sts, bind off 2 x 2 sts tog in every row = 51 sts. Make 2 double crochets tog in stripes with cables in the next 2 rows = 41 sts. Make 2 sts tog in the next row. Tighten the rest 21 sts with working yarn and sew. Make hat seam.
