​Crochet Summer Booties

You'll need:

100% cotton yarn;

Crochet hook 2.

Length of foot: 11 cm.

Sole

1st row: Make set-up row of 16 chain sts. Make single crochets, starting from the 3rd st, make to last 14th st and make 3 single crochets in it, then 13 single crochets to end of row. In 2 sts of turn make 2 single crochets in each st.

2nd row: 13 single crochets, 2 single crochet in each of the next 3 sts, 14 single crochets, 2 single crochets in next 3 sts each.

3rd row: 8 single crochets, 3 half double crochets, 3 double crochets. 2 double crochets in next 5 sts each, then 3 double sts and 3 half double crochets. Then, 8 single crochets and 2 single crochets in next 6 sts each.

4th row: 8 single crochets, 3 half double crochets, 5 double crochets, 2 double crochets in next 6 sts each, 5 double crochets, 3 half double crochets, 10 single crochets, 2 sinlge crochets in every 2nd sts from 6 next sts.

5th row: 64 single crochets, slip st in the 65th st.

6th-8th row: 3 chain sts increase, make a circle row with double crochet in each sts, finish the row with slip st in the 3rd chain st increase. Cut the yarn in the last row and pull the yarn from the crochet hook. Tighten.

Toe

Fold the sole in the middle. Count 15 sts from each side from the toe and place markers. Insert the yarn in the 1st st with marker, the toe should be front left side.

1st row: 3 chain sts increase, 4 double crochets, 1 double crochet in next 20 sts each, but make every 2 crochets with common top, 5 double crochets in each st.

2nd row: 3 chain sts increase, 4 double crochets, 1 double crochet in next 10 sts each, but make every 2 crochets with common top, 5 double crochets in each st.

3rd row: 3 chain sts increase, 4 double crochets, make 5 next sts as double crochets with common top, 5 double crochets in each st.

Turn your work and sew both sides from inner side, in order to make closed finished toe.

Heel

1st row: count 4 sts on the sole from the toe and insert the yarn in the 5th st, 3 chain sts increase, make double crochets to 5th st includingly on the opposite side of your bootie. Don't forget to hide the ends of yarn.

2nd-3rd rows: 3 chain sts increase, all double crochets. Add 20 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase in the end of row.

4th row: make a row of double crochets, crochet every added chain st. Don't cut the yarn in the end of row.

While making the second bootie, cut the yarn in the end of the 3rd row, as you need to make reflecting fastening strap. Attach yarn in the beginning of row in the 3rd chain st from the opposite side of your bootie, than you made in the first bootie and make 20 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase. 4th row will also be made with double crochets to end of row. Don't cut the yarn.

Fasten both booties with "shrimp stitch" and make a chain of chain sts on the fastening strap as your button size. Sew the button.
