​Crochet Neck and Chest Decoration

Many of you asked the pattern of my neck-lace, here it is:

You’ll need:

2 skeins of Prism, Tencel Tape (100% Tencel; 2oz, appox. 120ys; DK weight): #502;

Crochet hook 1,25 mm and 4 mm;

6/0 beads, approx. 432;

Yarn needle;

(9) 3/8” buttons;

Thread and needle.

Special Stitches:

Place Bead (pb): Slide a bead onto smaller hook, remove loop from larger hook and place it on smaller hook, slide bead off smaller hook and over loop, place loop back on larger hook and make next stitch as indicated in pattern.

Slip stitch in back loop (ssbl): Insert hook in back loop of next st, yo, pull through everything on hook.

Slip stitch in front loop (ssfl): Insert hook in front loop of next st, yo, pull through everything on hook.

Instructions

Row 1: Ch 85, sl st in bottom loop of 2nd ch from hook and each ch across. – {84 sl sts}

Row 2 – 9: Turn, ch 1 (does not count as a st here or throughout), 4 ssbl, [ch 6, skip 6, 4 ssbl] 8 times. – {84 sts}

Edging

(RS) Ch 1, working up the side of piece, 3 sl st in side of next 13 dc, sl st in side of next 6 sc, ch 2, skip 2 sl sts, sl st in side of next sl st, skip 1, sl st in side of next sl st, ch 2, sl st in side of top sl st, ch 1, begin working across the top of the piece, ssfl in each st across the top of the piece, ch 1, begin working down the side of the piece, 5 sl st evenly in side of next 9 sl sts, sl st in the side of each of the next 6 sc, 3 sl st in the side of each of the next 13 dc, fasten off.

Assembly

With RS facing, place a buttons on the side with sets of 4 dc at edge (NOT the side with sets of 2 dc, ch-1, 2 dc) in following manner: sew one button on 3rd st in of rows 2, 8, 16, 19, 22, 25, 28.

Weave in loose ends.
