I am strictly a crocheter. Is that even a word?? Actually as I look around I seem to be a lazy crocheter. I hate weaving in the ends so I tend to make simple blankets.
Hello, Patti!
Nice to meet you!
Could you share some of your work with us, please
I enjoy making outerwear that is wearable art.
These are a few of my pieces of work. These pieces take me anywhere between 2-4 months to make, and I do work on them continually.
As I'm creating them sometimes the pieces direct me rather than me directing it/the design.
You say you are a lazy crocheter. I can find no evidence of such an idea. Your work is stunning in design, color choices and textural application! You are truly a crochet artist. 😊
Your works are amazing!
Stunningly beautiful work! Congratulations on your creativity, your tenacity, and your bravery! I've been crocheting since I was probably about 10, (I'm 66 now!) but I have never reached your level of expertise!

Wow! Those are very kind words.
I've been crocheting since I was 39 (I was diagnosed with RA and my mom taught me how to do a sc, that's all she knew) I am 70 now. I've only started doing this kind of crocheting for about 5-6 yrs. now. A co-worker brought in a picture of a very simple poncho and it hit me that I could do that, and from there I realized/figured out how to do sleeves. I was pretty much like everyone else, making scarves, blankets. I never even made hats.
So I don't think its how long one has been crocheting, it's more like how long has one allowed their imagination be free. I'm still learning, I'm learning with every project I do because I challenge myself continually.
This was my first attempt at a plaid. I wouldn't do this kind of stitch again, because I've learned a pretty way, I think, but it's all just a process.
Thank you so much, again, for your very kind words. You can see more of my work on my site in FB, The Downstairs Attic.
Thank you for your very kind words. My background is art/drawing, my media is colored ink with colored pencil; although I haven't done that kind of work for several years now. Please visit my studio on Facebook, The Downstairs Attic. Thank you again.
