Crochet Mug Cover
Hello, crafters!
My first autumn pattern is completed.
You’ll need:
1 ball of Anchor Creative yarn in red color (0192) – color A;
1 ball of the same yarn, but in pink color (0114) – color B;
1 ball of the same yarn, but in gold color (0383) – color C;
1 ball of the same yarn, but in yellow color (0208) – color D;
1 ball of the same yarn, but in orange color (02810 – color E;
Crochet hook 4 mm;
2 small buttons;
Yarn needle.
Special Stitches
Extended single crochet – insert hook into st (ch), yo and pull through, yo and pull through first loop on hook, yo and pull through remaining 2 loops.
Bobble – Make 4 exsc in stitch indicated, remove hook and insert into top of first of 4 exsc just worked, insert hook into loop just dropped and pull through first exsc.
Instructions
Using Yarn A, chain 34
Row 1: (WS)1 exsc in 2nd ch from hook (counts as 1 exsc), 1 exsc in each ch across, turn – 33 exsc
Row 2: (RS) Ch 1 (does not count as a stitch), 1 exsc in 1st st, * bobble (see special stitches) in next st, 1 exsc in each of the next 3 sts; rep from * across, turn – 8 bobbles, 25 exsc
Row 3: Ch 1, 1 exsc in each st across, turn – 33 exsc
Row 4: Ch 1, * 1 exsc in each of the next 3 sts, bobble in next st; rep from * across until 1 st remains, 1 exsc in last st, turn - 8 bobbles, 25 exsc
Row 5: Ch 1, 1 exsc in each st across, turn – 33 exsc
Rows 6-9: Repeat rows 2-5
Rows 10-11: Repeat rows 2 & 3
Assembly
Sew buttons to left side of cosy. Attach one between rows 1 & 2, and one between rows 10 & 11. To make loops to fasten around buttons - On the right side of cosy, join yarn at row 1, ch 6, and sl st into end of row 1. Fasten off. Join yarn at beg of row 11, ch 6, sl st into end of row 11. Fasten off. Weave in all ends with a yarn needle.
