You’ll need:

Any Yellow DK Cotton yarn;

Crochet hook 3 mm;

Stitch markers.

Size: about 10 cm across.

Instructions

Make a magic ring.

Round 1 (RS) Ch1 (does not count as st), 6dc into loop. [6 sts]

Round 2 2dc into each st around. [12 sts]

Round 3 (2dc into next st, 1 dc into next st) 6 times. [18 sts]

Round 4 (Ch8, ss into second ch from hook, 1dc into next ch, 1htr into next ch, 1tr into each of the next 2 ch, 1dtr into next ch, 1tr in final ch, skip next dc, ss into back loop only of each of next 2 dc) 6 times. [6 petals]

Round 5 *Working up the opposite side of the ch of the petal, work (1tr, 1dtr, 1tr into each of next 2 ch, 1htr, 1dc, ss in next ch, picot), ss into each of next 7 sts down the other side, skip 1 ss, 1dc into next ss. Repeat from * five times more.

Fasten off.

Centre of daffodil

Round 1 (RS) Rejoin yarn in front loop only of any dc in Round 3, ch1 (does not count as dc), 1dc into each dc around. [18 sts]

Rounds 2-4 1dc into each st around.

Round 5 (Picot, ss into st at base of ch and next 2 sts) 6 times.

Fasten off and weave in ends.

Finishing

Block daffodil to shape.
