Knit or Crochet
Jan 14, 2021 09:03 PM
Hello, ladies!
Do you often meet patterns, which can be visually quite similar, but one of them is knit, another one - crochet?
Which of them do you usually choose?
Sometimes you can fins such a neat pattern and you may think (of course, if you are not so advanced), that it's crochet, but the instructions are for knitting needles.
Or vice versa, quite densed pattern, that you might say, that it's knit, but it's crochet.
Has it happened to you, when you weren't such a professional?
i am brand new to crocheting but have emassed enough yarn to make a blanket. I would like to learn the wave pattern so I can use some of this beautiful yarn! Help!

I love the hat I would love to try making it
This happens WAY to often. I actually found a pattern several years ago that I thought was crochet but turned out to be knit, ( I do knit also ) but wanted this particular pattern in crochet. I found a book that shows how to convert knit projects into crochet so now I don't have the problem as much.
is the book hard to read?
It's a great way out!
What is the name of this book?
Hi, the book is titled From Needles to Hook: Complete Guide to Converting Knit Patterns to Crochet.
I have been knitting and crocheting for over 45 yrs so it was easy for me. But the book reads just like any other knit or crochet pattern. If a person knows the basics of both then they shouldn't have any problem understanding.
