Simple crochet shawl
Hi, everyone!
Want to share a pattern for nice and simple crochet shawl with you.
Hope, that you like it.
You’ll need:
Any worsted weight yarn;
Crochet hook 5,5 mm;
Scissors;
Tapestry needle.
Size: 84,5” wide x 17,5” high.
Instructions
1st row: Ch277, Work (2dc, ch3, 2dc) in 6th ch from hook * Skip next 3chs, work (2dc, ch3, 2dc) in next ch * Repeat across to last 3chs, skip next 2chs, 1dc in last ch, turn;
2nd row: Ch1, 1dc in very first dc, work (2dc, ch3, 2dc) in each ch3 loop across, work 1dc in top of turning ch, turn;
3rd row: Ch1, 1dc in very first dc, work (2dc, ch3, 2dc) in each ch3 loop across, work 1dc in very last dc st, turn.
Repeat the 3rd row until your shawl is 13”.
Fasten off and weave in ends. Move on to blocking.
Blocking
Soak finished shawl for 20 minutes in cool water and squeeze excess water out gently. Do not twist. Lay damp shawl on blocking boards and stretch to 84.5” width x 17.5” height use blocking pins to hold in place.
Hi! What would the chain be if I were to do width I instead of length. Or what are the multiples? I'm thinking 18-20 inches.
