​Crochet Violet

Hi, everyone!

So pleased, that many of you like my violet.

Here is the pattern:

You’ll need:

Dk Wool in yellow (A), purple (B), mauve (C);

Crochet hook 3.

Instructions

Center and First Petal

Using A, make 6ch, join with ss into a ring.

1st row (RS): 2ch, 2sc in ring, working last wrap with B 1sc in ring. 4 sts. Continue with B.

2nd row: 3ch, 1dc in sc below, 2tr in each of next 2sc, 2dc in top ch of 2ch. 8 sts. Fasten off invisibly.

3rd row (RS): Join C in base of stem of last dc of previous row, 1ch, 1sc in stem of dc, (1sc, 1ch, 1dc) in top of dc, 1ch, (1tr, 1dtr) in next dc, 2tr in each of next 4tr, (1dtr, 1tr) in next dc, 1ch, (1dc, 1ch, 1sc) in top ch of 3ch, 1sc in next ch, ss in next ch. Fasten off invisibly.

2nd Petal

Join B in center ch ring.

1st row: (RS) 2ch, 2sc in ring. 3 sts.

2nd row: 3ch, 1tr in sc below, 1tr in next sc, (1tr, 1dc) in top ch of 2ch. 5 sts. Fasten off.

3rd row (RS) Join C in base of stem of last dc of previous row, 1ch, 1sc in stem of dc, (1sc, 1ch, 1dc) in top of dc, 1ch, (1tr, 1dtr) in next tr, 1ch, 2tr in next tr, 1ch, (1dtr, 1tr) in next tr, 1ch, (1dc, 1ch, 1sc) in top ch of 3ch, 1sc in next ch, ss in next ch. Fasten off invisibly.

3rd Petal

As 2nd petal. Darn in all ends.

4th Petal

With RS facing, join C in first sc in A on first petal, working behind center petals make 4ch, 1sc in base of 2ch of first row of first petal, turn.

1st row (WS) * 4ch, 3tr around ch bar. 4 sts.

2nd row 3ch, 1tr in tr below, 2tr in each of next 2tr,
(1tr, 1dc) in top ch of 4ch. 8 sts. Fasten off.

3rd row RS facing, rejoin C in base of first tr of 1st row, 1ch, 1sc in stem of tr, 1sc in top of tr, 1sc in each of first 2ch of 2nd row, (2sc, 1ch, 1dc) in top ch, 1ch, 2tr in next tr, 1tr in each of next 3tr, 2tr in next tr, 1ch, (1dc, 1ch, 1sc) in tr, 3sc in stem of dc, 1sc in each of next 2ch, ss in next ch. Fasten off invisibly.

5th Petal

With WS facing, join C in ch bar, then work as 4th petal from *.

Assembly

Press petals separately. Catch together 4th and 5th petals, slightly overlapping 1st and 2nd rows.
