Hi Joan, I'm Alma. I make chemo hats and take them to my oncologist's office or the hospital. Almost any oattern will work as long as it isn' an open lacy pattern or one with a lot of spaces. Use a very soft yarn, usually acrylic or cotton. Don't use wool or anyting that can scratch. I'm always looking for new oatterns, usually on Pinterest. All Free Crochet has a lot of free patterns also. Hope that helps.
