The quantity of sts is multiple 4.

1st row: DC in 3rd CH from hook, DC in next CH, *CH1, skip 1 CH, 1DC in EA of next 3CH. Continue across from * to the end of the row;

2nd row: Ch3, 1DC in EA of next 2DC, *CH1, skip CH, 1DC in EA of next 3DC. Continue across from * to the end of the row;

3rd row: CH 4, this will count as the first DC, CH 1, Sk the next DC, DC in the next DC, work an extended DC below the 2 previous CH 1 spaces. DC in the next DC. *CH 1, Sk the next DC, DC in the next DC, work an extended DC below the 2 previous CH 1 spaces. DC in the next DC. Continue across from * for width of pattern;

4th row: Ch4, this will count as the first DC, 1DC in EA of the next 3DC, *CH1, 1DC in EA of the next 3DC. Continue across from * to last rep, DC into 3rd ch in turn ch, turn;

5th row: Ch3, work an extended DC below the 2 previous CH 1 spaces, 1 DC in next DC, *CH1, skip the DC, DC in the next DC. Work an extended DC below the 2 previous CH1 spaces, 1DC in the next DC. Continue across from * to last rep, DC into 3rd ch in turn ch, turn;

6th row: Ch3, 1DC in EA of next 2DC, *CH1, skip CH, 1DC in EA of next 3DC. Continue across from * to end of row.
