​Melange Jacket with Relief Fringe

You’ll need:

250g of mélange (#218) Alpina Katrin yarn (100% mercerized cotton; 140m/50g);

100g of burgundy (# 315) Alpina Anabel yarn (100% mercerized cotton; 120m/50g);

Knitting needles 3,5;

Crochet hook 3,5.

Size: L.

Used Patterns

Relief pattern: work due to the scheme 1 with knitting needles, make sts as they face in WS row, yarn overs – as purls. Repeat sts of pattern and 1st-2nd row.

Pattern for placket: work due to the scheme with crochet hook, make the 1st and 2nd rows due to the scheme for skirt.

Garter stitch: knit sts.

Stitches control: 16 sts x 23 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 73 sts and make 2 cm of garter stitch and work with relief pattern due to the scheme between selvage sts, pattern repeat x 14 times and finish with 1 knit st. In 28 cm from the set-up row, bind off 2 x 2 sts and 1 x 1 st from both sides for arm-holes. In 18 cm from the beginning of arm-holes, bind off 3 x 5 sts for shoulder chamfers. At the same time, bind off the rest 33 sts for neck-hole.

Right Front

Cast on 38 sts and make in the same way, as back, repeat pattern x 5 times between selvage sts and finish 1 knit st. Make arm-hole from the left side in the same way, as for back. In 41,5 cm, bind off 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 2 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st from the right side for neck-hole. Make shoulder chamfers in the same way, as for back.

Left Front

Make in symmetry.

Sleeves

Cast on 52 sts and make 3 rows of garter stitch and work with relief pattern between selvage sts, pattern repeat x 5 times. In 28 cm from the set-up row, bind off 2 x 2 sts, 10 x 1 st, 2 x 2 sts and 1 x 3 sts. Bind off the rest 8 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams. Make fringe along the edges o front with Alpina Anabel yarn. Make 1 row of pattern for placket with Alpina Anabel yarn.
