The quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 2.

1st row: Work 1sc into 2nd ch from hook, *skip 2ch, 1dc into next ch, 2ch, into same ch as last dc work [1dc, 2ch, 1dc], skip 2ch, 1sc into next ch; rep from * to end, turn;

2nd row: 5ch (count as 1dc, 2ch), 1dc unto 1st sc, skip 1dc, 1sc into next dc, *1dc into next sc, 2ch, into same st as last dc work [1dc, 2ch, 1dc], skip 1dc, 1sc into next dc; rep from * to last sc, into last sc work [1dc, 2ch, 1dc], turn;

3rd row: 1ch, 1sc into 1st dc, *1dc into next sc, 2ch, into same st as last dc work [1dc, 2ch, 1dc], skip 1dc, 1sc into next dc; rep from * to end placing last sc into 3rd of 5ch at beg of previous row, turn.

Repeat 2nd-3rd rows.

How many stitches do you chain to start out?  Couldn't find that informaton.

It says: The quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 2.  so, crochet a swatch in multiples of 6, like 3 x 6 = 18. Then add 2:  18+ 2 = 20.

If you want to print out a pattern, you can save the text as .doc file and then print it out

When it says *2sc in first sc, 1sc in next___ sc* does that mean I repeat the 2sc after I complete the 1 sc in the designated number? I'm not sure since it says to do 2 in first sc.
