Beige Crochet Top

You'll need:

4 skeins of 100% cotton yarn (280m/50g);

Crochet hooks 1,75 and 2,5 mm;

Markers;

Needle

Scissors;

Measuring tape.

Instructions

Make 252 chain sts, icnluding chain sts increase.

Crochet around, but with turning rows.

The seam will go on back. Pay attention to the odd quantity of sts, when you divide the cloth to front and back, in order to make your seam in the centre, and make central st for hole in front.

Crochet 33 cm of the total body, which equals 52 rows. The width of body is 47 cm in fold.

Divide the sts of body in the following way: 127 sts for front and 125 sts for back.

Back

Leave 6 sts on arm-holes each.

125 — 12 = 113 sts.

Pattern repeat of back is 8 sts + 1 auxilary st and 4 rows height.

113 — 1 = 112 / 8 = 14.

Make the arm-hole from 6 sts in the following way: don't use 3 sts from arm-hole centre, make a chamfer from 3 rest sts in the following way: slip st, single crochet, half double crochet. 112 / 2 = 56 sts.

Count 56 + 3 = 59 sts from central st (seam) in both sides and place markers. Start crocheting from the right side, as the last circle row was wrong side.

Make 21 cm height for the arm-hole. Make one more pattern repeat (3,5 cm). The height of relief back is 24,5 cm.

The last 4th row of back is crochet with single crochets in every st, then cut the yarn.

Front

Previously, we leave 127 sts for front.

Make 6 sts for each arm-hole. Use them the same way, as you made for back, i.e., don't use 3 sts from arm-hole centre, make a chamfer from 3 rest sts in the following way: slip st, single crochet, half double crochet.

If you want to make deeped neck-hole, so start forming it form the 1st row. For this,place marker on the central st, which divide the front in half and isn't crocheted.

If you want the neck-hole the same, as shown in this tutorial, so you need to make first 6 rows (115 sts). Don't forget, that you crochet arm-holes in the first row at the same time. So, in the 1st row you should have 57 + 57 + 1 (central st) + 3 (arm-hole) + 3 (arm-hole) = 121 sts between markers. Attach the yarn on the right side. The ornament of front is the same, as for the body - turning rows of double crochets.

Then, make right front on 57 sts. Make decreases in every row from neck-hole side.

33 сm = 52 rows

After making front you should have 30 sts left (57 - 27 = 30).

Don't cut the yarn and make shoulder seam on wrong side slip st. The direction is from neck-hole to arm-hole. Cut the yarn.

Then, knit the left front in analogy with the right. Also make decreases from neck-hole in every row.

Finish the 27th row from arm-hole side. Make shoulder seam on wrong side slip st from arm-hole to neck-hole. Don't cut the yarn, fasten the neck-hole.

Neck-hole Fastening

As you should make this on right side, so neck-hole fastening starts from back. Make slip sts in all free sts. Make single crochets on fronts, insert the crochet hook only in part of edging sts. Crochet the angle with 3 single crochets together.

In such a way, we return to the left shoulder. Connect carefully, cut the yarn and hide the "tails".

Fastening of Bottom Part

We use lace border for top fastening. The pattern repeat in this case is 9 sts.

Note: Start crocheting with wrong side with single crochet, in order to make all combinations with double crochets on the right side. Crochet in circle, but turning rows.
