Long Turquoise Scarf

You’ll need:

660 yards of Lang Merino 150 in Seafoam colour, 600m/200g);

Crochet hook 4 mm;

Scissors;

Darning needle.

 

Size: approx. 65” x 10” after blocking.

 

Stitches control: 17 sts x 10.5 rows =  4”x 4”.

 

Instructions

Ch 61

Row 1: Sc in second ch, sc in each sc till the end. Turn. (60 sts) The stitch count for the pattern is maintained at 60 through all the rows.

Row 2: Ch3, dc into next 29 sts, ch1, (skp next 2st, dc in next st, 2dc in next st, dc in next st, 2dc in next st, dc in next st, ch1, skp next 2 st, dc in next st) x 3. Turn

Row 3: Ch5, dc in same dc, ch2, *skp (ch-1 sp, 2dc), dc in next 3 dc, ch2, skp (2dc, ch-1 sp), (dc, ch4, dc) in next dc, ch2*, repeat ** one more time, skp (ch-1 sp, 2dc),dc in next 3 dc, ch2, skp (2dc,ch-1 sp), (dc, ch2, dc) in next dc, dc till the end. Turn.

Row 4: Ch3, dc into next 29 dc, 3dc in ch-2 sp, ch1, skp (dc, ch-2 sp, dc), *dc in next dc, ch1, skp (dc, ch-2 sp, dc), 7dc in ch-4 sp, ch1, skp(dc, ch-2 sp, dc)* , repeat ** one more time, dc in next dc, ch1, skp (dc, ch-2 sp, dc), 3dc in ch-2 sp, dc in last dc. Turn

Row 5: Ch3, dc in the next dc,ch2,*skp (2dc, ch-1 sp), (dc, ch4, dc) in next dc, ch2, skp (ch-1 sp, 2dc), dc in next 3 dc, ch2 *, repeat ** one more time, skp (2dc, ch-1 sp), (dc, ch4, dc) in next dc, ch2, skp (ch-1 sp, 2dc), dc in each dc till the end. Turn.

Row 15 – Row 16: Repeat Row 3 – Row 4, one more time

Row 17: Ch3, dc in next 3dc, *dc in ch-1 sp, dc in dc, dc in ch-1 sp, dc in 7dc * repeat ** one more time, dc in ch-1 sp, dc in dc, dc in ch-1 sp, dc in 4dc, (ch1, skp next 2dc, dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, dc in next dc, 2dc in next dc, dc in next dc, ch1, skp next 2 dc, dc in next dc) x 3. Row 18 – Row 29: Repeat Row 3- 6, 3 times

Row 30 – Row 31: Repeat Row 3 – Row 4, one more time

Repeat Row 2 – Row 31, 3 more times

Repeat Row 2- Row 16, 1 more time

Last Row: Ch1, sc in first st, sc in each dc and ch sp until the end.

Cut yarn, weave in the ends. Block the scarf to straighten the raw edges.

Pom Poms (Optional)

Using a medium pom pom maker make 12 pom poms in total. You are welcome to make as many or as little pom poms as you wish.
