You’ll need:
450 (500) 550 (600)g of black with white inserts yarn (95% merino, 5% polyamide; 90m/50g);
50g of the same yarn, but in white color;
50g of the same yarn, but in black color;
Knitting needles 5,5 and 6;
Crochet hook 5.
Size: S (M) L (XL).
Used Patterns
1 x 2 rib
Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts.
Pattern for crochet hook: 1st row (black yarn): 1 single crochet, * 1 chain st, 1 single crochet, skip 1 st*; repeat from * to *, 1 slip st in the 1st single crochet;
2nd row (white yarn): * 1 chain st, 1 single crochet in the arch of chain st of the previous circle row*; repeat from * to *, 1 slip st in the 1st chain st;
3rd row (black yarn): * 1 single crochet in the arch of chain sts of the previous circle row, 1 chain st*; repeat from * to *, 1 slip st in the 1st chain st.
Repeat 2nd-3rd rows.
Stitches control: 16 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Back
Cast on 82 (90) 94 (102) sts and work with 1 x 2 rib. In 7 cm from the set-up row, continue work with wrong-side pattern, make the 1st row in the following way: 1 selvage st, 4 (0) 10 (16) purls, * purl2tog, 6 purls*; repeat from * to *, 4 (0) 10 (16) purls, 1 selvage st = 73 (79) 85 (91) sts.
Arm-holes
In 47 (46) 45 (43) cm from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 2 sts from both sides in every 2nd row and decrease 6 (7) 8 (9) x 1 st = 57 (61) 65 (69) sts.
Shoulders
At 12 (22) 23 (25) cm height of arm-holes, bind off 3 x 5 sts (2 x 5 sts and 1 x 6 sts) 1 x 5 sts and 2 x 6 sts (3 x 6 sts) from both sides in every row.
Neck-hole
At the same time with the beginning of shoulders, bind off the central 25 (27) 29 (31) sts and bind off 1 x 1 st in 2 rows from the central st for neck-hole.
Front
Make in the same way, as back.
Neck-hole
In 61 cm from the set-up row, bind off the central 11 (13) 15 (17) sts and 1 x 3 sts, 1 x 2 sts and 3 x 1 st from both sides in every 2nd row. Make shoulders at the same height as for back in the same way.
Sleeves
Cast on 36 (36) 40 (40) sts for each sleeve with black with white inserts yarn and work with wrong-side pattern. For side chamfers, cast on 9 x 1 st in every 10th row (10 x 1 st in every 8th and 10th rows by turn) 10 x 1 st in every 8th and 10th row by turn (11 x 1 st in every 8th row) = 54 (56) 60 (62) sts. For sleeve caps, bind off 1 x 2 sts from both sides in every 2nd row in 43 cm from the set-up row, then, decrease 12 (12) 14 (14) x 1 st and bind off 2 x 2 sts and 1 x 3 sts. Bind off the rest sts at 15 (15) 16 (16) cm height of cap.
Assembly
Make all seams.
Neck-hole Placket
Fasten neck-hole with 1 circle row of single crochets with black with white inserts yarn. Then, make 5 circle rows with pattern for crochet hook. Fasten the edges of sleeves with 5 circle rows with pattern for crochet hook. Sew up the sleeves.
