You’ll need:
1 ball of Bernat® Super Value™ (7 oz/197 g; 440 yds/402 m) in Contrast A Topaz (53514) color;
1 ball of the same yarn, but in Contrast B Natural (07414);
1 ball of the same yarn, but in Contrast C Clay (53041);
1 ball of the same yarn, but in Contrast D Black (07421);
Crochet hook 5 mm;
Yarn needle.
Size: 3 months (6 mos-12 mos-4/6 yrs-8/10 yrs-Teen).
Stitches control: 13 sc x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

1st rnd: Ch 2. 10 dc in ring. Join.
2nd rnd: Ch 2. 2 dc in each st around. Join. 20 sts.
3rd rnd: Ch 2. *2 dc in next st. 1 dc in next st. Rep from * around. Join. 30 sts.
4th rnd: Ch 2. *2 dc in next st. 1 dc in each of next 2 sts. Rep from * around. Join. 40 sts.
Size 0-3 mos only:
5th rnd: Ch 2. *2 dc in next st. 1 dc in each of next 9 sts. Rep from * around. Join. 44 sts.

First Earflap
1st row: Ch 2. 1 dc in each of next 10 (10-12-12-14-14) sts. Turn.
2nd row: Ch 2. Dc2tog. 1 dc in each st to last 2 sts. Dc2tog. Turn. 8 (8- 10-10-12-12) sts.
Rep last row 2 (2-3-3-4-4) times more. 4 sts.
Next row: Ch 2. 1 dc in each st to end of row. Turn.
Rep last row 14 (16-16-18-18-20) times.
Fasten off.
Second Earflap
On opposite edge of Hat from First Earflap, join A with sl st. Work as given for First Earflap. Sloth Claws (work at end of both Earflaps) Join B with sl st to bottom of Earflap.
1st row: *Ch 5. 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each of next 3 ch. Sl st in next st along bottom of Earflap. Rep from * twice more.
Fasten off.
Eye Patches
Make 2.
With C, ch 7. 1st rnd: 1 sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each of next 4 ch. 3 sc in last ch. Working into opposite side of chain, 1 sc in each stitch until end of chain. Join.
2nd rnd: Ch 1. 1 sc in each of next 5 sts. 2 sc in each of next 3 sts. 1 sc in each st to end of rnd. Join. Fasten off, leaving a long tail.
Eyes
Make 2.
With D, begin using magic loop method.
1st rnd: Ch 1. 6 sc in ring. Join.
Fasten off. Stitch Eyes to corners of Eye Patches as shown in photo.
Face
With B, ch 12.
1st rnd: 1 dc in 3rd ch from hook. 1 dc in each ch to last ch. 3 dc in last ch. Working into opposite side of chain, 1 dc in each st to last st. 3 dc in last st. Join.
2nd rnd: Ch 2. (2 dc in next st. 1 dc in next st) 5 times. 2 dc in each of next 3 sts. (2 dc in next st. 1 dc in next st) 4 times. 2 dc in each of last 3 sts. Join.
Sizes 4/6 yrs, 8/10 yrs, and Teen only:
3rd rnd: Ch 2. 2 dc in first st. 1 dc in each st to last st. 2 dc in last st. Join.
Fasten off.
Nose
With D, beg using magic loop method.
1st rnd: Ch 1. 8 sc in ring. Join.
Fasten off.
Assembly
Stitch Nose to middle of Face as shown in photo. Backstitch on a smile. Stitch Face to middle front of Hat. Stitch Eye Patches to sides of Face.
