450 (500) 550g of lilac yarn (50% wool, 30% alpaca, 20% polyamide; 145m/50g);

450 (500) 550g of the same yarn, but in mallow sectional coloring;

Crochet hook 5;

3 buttons.

Used Patterns

Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 2. Work due to the scheme 1. Start with sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1st-8th rows x once, then, repeat 7th-8th rows.

Rhombs pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 10 + 7. Work due to the scheme 2. Make 1st-5th rows x once, then, repeat 4th-5th rows.

Stitches control: main pattern: 19,5 sts x 14 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Rhombs pattern: 22,5 sts x 9 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Make 86 (94) 102 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern. In 15,5 cm = 22 rows from the set-up row, increase 2 sts from both sides for “bat sleeve” and 2 x 2 sts in every 6th row, 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 6 sts, 1 x 8 sts in every 4th row and 1 x 12 sts, 1 x 16 sts, 1 x 28 sts in every 2nd row = 246 (254) 262 sts. For increases, at first, make new chain sts, then fasten them with main pattern. In 53 cm = 75 rows from the set-up row, finish your work.

Left Front

Make 44 (48) 52 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern. In 3 cm = 4 rows from the set-up row, skip 1 st along left side for neck-hole chamfer and 11 x 1 st in every 4th row. Make increases for “bat sleeve” along right side of work in the same way, as for back. Finish your work on the rest 112 (116) 120 sts of shoulder/sleeve and finish your work at the height of back.

Right Front

Make in reflection to left front.

Assembly

Make shoulder/sleeve seams. For sleeve plackets, fasten the lower edge of each sleeve, make 66 sts of the main pattern. At 5 cm = 7 rows height of placket, finish your work. Make side seams and lower sleeves seams, including seams of sleeves plackets. For lower placket make 22 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with the main pattern. In 89 (97) 105 cm from the set-up row, finish your work. Sew lower placket to the lower edge of jacket. For collar, make 37 chain sts + 3 chain sts increase and work with rhombs pattern. In 173 cm = 156 rows from the set-up row, finish your work. Sew collar to back neck-hole and edges of front. For this, fold collar in half and mark the center, place the center of collar in the middle of back and sew both ends to the edges of neck-hole and edges. Leave the first and last 20 cm of collar placket loose. Sew buttons.
