Basic Knit Tunic
You’ll need:
800g of yarn (70% viscose, 20% mohair, 10% polyamide);
Straight and circular knitting needles 7 and 8.
Size: L.
Used Patterns
Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 4 + 3 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which both RS and WS rows are stated. Start with 1 selvage st, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1st-4th rows.
Rib: the quantity of sts is odd. RS row: 1 selvage st, * 1 purl, 1 cross knit st*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl, 1 selvage st; WS row: 1 selvage st, * 1 knit st, 1 cross purl*; repeat from * to *, 1 knit st, 1 selvage st.
Garter stitch: 1 circle row of knit sts and 1 circle row of purls.
Stitches control: 18 sts x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back
Cast on 85 sts with knitting needles 8 and make 1 WS row of knit sts. Don’t take this row into further account. Then, work with the main pattern. In 39 cm = 74 rows from the set-up row, work with rib with knitting needles 7. In 10,5 cm = 22 rows from the end of main pattern, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides for arm-holes, then, 2 x 2 sts, 1 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 69 sts. In 27,5 cm = 56 rows from the end of main pattern, bind off the central 21 sts and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 2 x 5 sts in every 2nd row from inwards. In 30 cm = 62 rows from the end of the main pattern, bind off the rest 14 sts of shoulder.
Front
Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, bind off the central 11 sts in 22,5 cm = 46 rows from the end of main pattern, then, bind off 3 x 3 sts x 3 x 2 sts in every row.
Sleeves
Cast on 45 sts with knitting needles 7 and work with rib. For chamfers, increase 1 x 1 st from both sides in 2 cm = 4 rows from the set-up row, then, 8 x 1 st in every 2nd row, include the increased sts in the pattern = 63 sts. In 11 cm = 22 rows from the set-up row, bind off 1 x 3 sts from both sides for sleeve cap, then, 3 x 2 sts, 7 x 1 st and 3 x 2 sts in every 2nd row. In 24,5 cm = 50 rows form the set-up row, bind off the rest 19 sts.
Assembly
Make shoulder seams. Cast on 102 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles 7 for collar and work with garter stitch, continue work with knitting needles 8 at 5 cm height of collar. In 13 cm from the beginning of work, increase 10 sts = 122 sts. At 30 cm height of collar, bind off all the sts as knit sts. Sew up the sleeves. Make side and sleeve seams.
