Elegant Top with Relief Back
You’ll need:
150g of mélange Soffstar mélange yarn 950% merino wool, 50% polyamide; 250m/50g);
Knitting needles 2,5 and 3;
Crochet hook 2.

Crochet pattern: due to the scheme.
Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS – purls.
1 x 1 rib.
Stitches control: 27 sts x 36 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Front
Cast on 126 sts (124 sts + 2 selvage sts). Make 5 cm of rib. Then, turn to stockinette stitch, decrease 10 sts. Knit 38 cm straight to arm-holes. Then, bind off 1 x 4 sts from boy sides for arm-holes. After that, make 8 sts of rib from both sides, bind off 1 st in every RS row. Make arm-hole to 19 cm height. Transfer the rest sts to the auxiliary needle.
Back
Cast on 126 sts (124 sts + 2 selvage sts). Make 5 cm of rib. Then, bind off the central 54 sts and finish both edges of back separately and work with stockinette stitch, make the edging 9 sts to the center with rib. Make arm-holes in the same way, as for back. After decreases for arm-holes, there are 8 sts of rib left on knitting needles. Relief detail of back: make 4 motifs due to the scheme with crochet hook and connect them in the process of work. Fasten the stripes of 4 motifs with single crochets. Make 13 such stripes and sew them between one another. Sew the detail of motifs in the center of back.
Assembly
Make side seams. Transfer the previously left sts of neck-hole to the circular knitting needles 2,5. Cast on 36 sts from broaching along upper relief detail, add 4 sts (4 chain sts) between front and back. Make 3 cm of rib and bind off sts as they face.
