​Crochet Yellow Hat with Fur Pompom

You’ll need:

100 (150)g of yellow yarn (50% wool, 50% polyacryl; 125m/50g);

Crochet hook 4,5;

Pompom Luxury Raccoon in golden color.

Head circumference: 52 (56) cm.

Used Patterns

Main pattern: double crochets. Start every row with 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1^st double crochet and finish with 1 double crochet in the last chain st increase of the previous row. Starting from the 2^nd row (WS), in all WS rows: insert crochet hook only in back loops, in RS rows: only in front loop of the previous row.

Cable pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 9 + 6. Work due to the scheme. Start with 1 WS row. Repeat pattern, finish with sts before arrow. Make 1^st-5^th rows x once, then, repeat 2^nd-5^th rows. Make treble crochets instead triple crochets.

Stitches control: main pattern: 19,5 sts x 10 rows = 10 x 10 cm;

Cable pattern (on 42 sts): 20 cm wide.

Instructions

Make 81 (90) chain sts and circle them in the ring with 1 slip st. Continue work with cable pattern in circle rows, make relief double crochets and relief treble crochets behind front loop and repeat the pattern. Start every circle row with 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1^st double crochet and finish with 1 slip st in the last chain st increase. For better shaping, in 21 cm = 21 circle rows from the set-up row, make 2 double crochets together between cables = 72 (80) sts. Repeat these decreases in the next circle row = 63 (70) sts.

Make both first and last double crochets of cable pattern together in the next circle row. Make 1 circle row on the rest 45 (50) sts and 1 circle row of half crochets, making 2 sts together. Draw working yarn through the rest 12 (13) sts, tighten sts and fasten off. Sew pompom to the hat.
