Knit Pullover with Beads Pattern

You’ll need:

450 (500) 550g of light-blue Malou Lang Yarns (70% alpaca, 10% sheep wool, 20% polyamide; 65m/50g);

Knitting needles 7 and 8;

Circular knitting needles 8.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Wrong-side pattern, knitting needles 7: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts.

Make all patterns with knitting needles 8.

Beads pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 12 + 11 (5) 11 + 1 selvage st. Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make all sts in WS rows as purls. Start with 1 selvage st and the last 11 (2) 11 sts of pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with the first 0 (3) 0 sts of pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Make 1st-4th rows x 4 (5) 6 times = 16 (20) 24 rows, then, repeat 5th-28th rows. Make 1st-4th rows x 12 times on sleeves = 48 rows, then, repeat 5th-28th rows.

2 x 2 rib.

Stitches control: 11,5 sts x 15 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 45 (49) 53 sts and make 2 cm = 3 rows of wrong-side pattern for placket, start with 1 WS row and increase 4 (6) 8 sts in the last row = 49 (55) 61 sts. Then, work with beads pattern. In 24 cm = 36 rows (28 cm = 42 rows) 32 cm = 48 rows from placket, bind off 2 sts from both sides for arm-holes and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row = 41 (47) 53 sts. In 43 cm = 64 rows (48 cm = 72 rows) 53,5 cm = 80 rows from placket, bind off the central 13 (15) 17 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 3 sts in the next 2nd row. In 45,5 cm = 68 rows (51 cm = 76 rows) 56 cm = 84 rows from placket, bind off the rest 11 (13) 15 sts of shoulder from each side.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, in 40 cm = 60 rows (45,5 cm = 68 rows) 51 cm = 76 rows from placket, bind off the central 11 (13) 15 sts and 1 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 24 (26) 28 sts and make 2 cm = 3 rows of wrong-side pattern for placket, start with 1 WS row and increase 3 (5) 7 sts in the last row = 27 (31) 35 sts. Then, work with beads pattern, but at first, make beads only upon the central st. In 13,5 cm = 20 rows from placket, increase 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers and 3 x 1 st in every 12th row = 35 (39) 43 sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. At the same time, in 32 cm = 48 rows from placket, start making beads along the whole width, start with the 5th row of the scheme from the center. In 43 cm = 64 rows from placket, bind off 2 sts from both sides for sleeve caps and 3 x 1 st, 2 x 2 sts in every 2nd row. In 51 cm = 76 rows from placket, bind off the rest 17 (21) 25 sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. For collar, cast on 52 (52) 56 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles, make 2 circle rows of purls and 1 circle row of knit sts, then, make 19 cm of rib and bind off sts as they face. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
