Special Stitches

C1F2 – Slip 1 knit stitches to the extra needle and hold in front of work, p2 from the left hand needle, k1 from the extra needle.

C2B1 – Slip 2 purl stitches to the extra needle and hold in back of work, k1 from the left hand needle, p2 from the extra needle.

The quantity of sts is multiple 6 + 2 + 2 selvage sts.

Start and finish every row with 1 selvage st.

1^st row (RS): 1 purl, 1 knit stm * 4 purls, 2 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 4 purls, 1 knit st, 1 purl;

2^nd row: 1 knit st, 1 purl, * 4 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 4 knit sts, 1 purl, 1 knit st;

3^rd row (RS): as the 1^st row;

4^th row: as the 2^nd row;

5^th row (RS): 1 purl, * C1F2, C2B1*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl;

6^th row: 3 knit sts, 2 purls, * 4 knit sts, 2 purls*; repeat from * to *, 3 knit sts;

7^th row (RS): 3 purls, * 2 knit sts, 4 purls*; repeat from * to *, 2 knit sts, 3 purls;

8^th row: as the 6^th row;

9^th row (RS): 1 purl, * C2B1, C1F2*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl.

Repeat 2^nd-9^th rows.
