The quantity of sts is multiple 2 + 1 + 2 selvage sts.

Start and finish every row with selvage st.

1st row (RS): * 1 purl, slip next stitch holding yarn in front*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl;

2nd row: * 1 purl, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *, 1 purl;

3rd row (RS): knit;

4th row: purl.

Repeat 1st-4th rows.
