Relief Crochet Cardigan





You’ll need:
400g of white yarn (100% linen; 110m/50g);
Crochet hooks 5 and 6;
5 buttons with 20 mm diameter.

Used Patterns
Main pattern A, crochet hook 6: the quantity of sts is multiple 16 + 1 + 1 chain st increase. Work due to the scheme 1. Start every row with 1 or 3 chain sts increase instead of the 1st double crochet, sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat. Make 1st-7th rows x once, then, repeat 2nd-7th rows.
Main pattern B, crochet hook 5: the quantity of sts is multiple 14 + 1 + 1 chain st increase. Work in the same way, as main pattern A, but due to the scheme 2 after main pattern A or C. Make 1st-7th rows x once, then, repeat 2nd-7th rows.
Main pattern C, crochet hook 5: the quantity of sts is multiple 12 + 1 + 1 chain st increase. Work in the same way, as main pattern A, but due to the scheme 3.
Stitches control: main pattern A: 19,5 sts x 8,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Main pattern B: 20 sts x 8,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm;
Main pattern C: 20,5 sts x 8,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.
Instructions
Make 161 chain sts + 1 chain st increase, work with the main pattern A = 181 sts. In 35,5 cm = 30 rows, continue work with main pattern B = 161 sts. In 59 cm = 50 rows from the set-up row, divide your work for arm-holes. At first, make the central 65 sts due to the pattern for back. At 75,5 cm = 64 rows from the set-up row, leave the central 33 sts open for back neck-hole, finish both sides separately. In 77,5 cm = 66 rows from the set-up row, finish your work on the rest 16 sts of shoulder. Leave 16 sts open from both sides of back for arm-holes. Continue work for the left front on the last 32 sts due to the pattern. In 63,5 cm = 54 rows from the set-up row, leave the first 9 sts open for neck-hole from the left side, bind off 1 x 7 sts in the next row. Finish your work on the rest sts of shoulder – 16 sts at the same height in the same way, as for back. Make right front in reflection to the left front.
Sleeves
Make 61 chain sts + 1 chain st increase for each sleeve and work with the main pattern C = 71 sts. In 19 cm = 16 rows from the set-up row, continue work with main pattern B = 81 sts.
