Crochet hook 4,5 mm;

Tapestry needle;

Stitches control: 17 sts x 9 rows = 4” x 4”.

Instructions

Make a magic ring.

Round 1: ch 3 (count as dc), 11 dc into the ring, sl st to the beg top 3 chain.

Round 2: ch 4 (count as hdc and ch 2), *hdc in next st, ch 2; repeat *to around, after crocheting last ch 2, sl st to beg top 2 chains. (12 hdc)

Round 3: sl st to the ch-2 sp, ch 3 (count as dc), (dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in same sp, *ch 1, (2 dc, ch 2, 1dc) in next ch-2 sp; repeat * to around, after crocheting last ch 1 in repeat section, sl st to the beg top 3 chain. Before starting next round, sl st until chain space.

Round 4: ch 3 (count as dc), (dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in same space, *ch 2, (2 dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in next ch-2 sp; repeat * to around, after crocheting last ch 2 in repeat section, sl st to the beg top 3 chain. Before starting next round, sl st until chain space.

Round 5: ch 3 (count as dc), (2 dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in same space, *ch 1, sl st to the next ch-2 sp, ch 3, (3 dc, ch 2, 1 dc) in next ch-2 sp; repeat *to around, after crocheting last ch 3 in repeat section, sl st to the beg top 3 chain. Before starting next round, sl st until chain space.

Edging: ch 1, sc in beg ch 3 top, sc in next 2 sts, *2 sc in next ch-2 sp, sc in next dc, 2 sc in next ch-2 sp, 5 sc in next ch-6 sp, sc in each of next 3 dc; repeat * to around, sl st to the first st.
