​Violet Knit Pullover with Wide Sleeves

You’ll need:

650 (700) 750g of violet Cashmerino yarn (55% merino wool, 35% polyacryl, 10% cashmere; 100m/50g);

Straight and circular knitting needles 5.

Size: S (M) L.

Used Patterns

Garter stitch: knit sts;

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Wrong-side pattern: in RS row – purls, in WS row – knit sts;

Relief pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 16 + 0 (6) 12 + 2 selvage sts. Work due to the scheme, on which RS and WS rows are stated. Start with 1 selvage st and 0 (3) 6 sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. Repeat 1^st-14^th rows.

Stitches control: 20,5 sts x 27,5 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Back

Cast on 86 (92) 98 sts and make 1,5 cm = 5 rows of garter stitch for placket, start with WS row and increase 12 sts in the last row = 98 (104) 110 sts. Then, work with relief pattern. In 33 cm = 90 rows (32 cm = 86 rows) 31 cm = 86 rows from placket, bind off 8 sts from both sides for arm-holes = 82 (88) 94 sts. In 53 cm = 146 rows from placket, bind off 1 x 4 sts from both sides for shoulder chamfer and 4 x 4 sts (2 x 4 sts and 2 x 5 sts) 4 x 5 sts in every 2^nd row. At the same time with the 1^st decrease for shoulder, bind off the central 22 (24) 26 sts for neck-hole and finish both sides separately. For smooth rounding, bind off 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2^nd row from inwards. In 56 cm = 154 rows from placket, bind off all the sts.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but with deeper neck-hole. For this, bind off the central 10 (12) 14 sts in 50 cm = 138 rows from placket and 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 3 x 2 sts, 2 x 1 st in every 2^nd row.

Sleeves

Cast on 46 (50) 54 sts and make 1,5 cm = 5 rows of garter stitch, increase 8 sts = 54 (56) 62 sts in the last row. Then, work with relief pattern, start with 1 selvage st and 2 (4) 6 sts before pattern repeat, repeat the pattern x 3 times, finish with 2 (4) 6 sts after pattern repeat and 1 selvage st. In 25 cm = 68 rows from placket, increase 11 x 1 st from both sides for sleeve chamfers, 2 x 1 st in every 4^th and 6^th row by turn = 82 (86) 90 sts, include the increased sts in the pattern. In 51 cm = 140 rows from placket, bind off the sts.

Assembly

Make shoulder seams. Cast on 92 (96) 100 sts along neck-hole with circular knitting needles and work with garter stitch. At 12 cm height of collar, bind off the sts. Sew up the sleeves, make side and sleeve seams.
