The quantity of sts is multiple 13 + 3 + 2 selvage sts.

1^st row: * 8 purls, 5 knit sts*; repeat from * to *, 3 purls;

2^nd and all the even rows: due to the pattern;

3^rd, 5^th, 7^th and 9^th rows: as the 1^st row;

11^th row: * 3 purls, cross 10 sts to the left (leave 5 sts on the auxiliary needle in front of work, 5 knit sts, 5 knit sts from the auxiliary needle)*; repeat from * to *, 3 purls;

13^th, 15^th, 17^th, 19^th and 21^st rows: * 3 purls, 5 knit sts, 5 purls*; repeat from * to *, 3 purls;
