The quantity of sts is multiple 3. Make 1^st-3^rd rows x once, then, repeat 2^nd-3^rd rows.

1^st row: knit;

2^nd row: * 1 yarn over, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to *;

3^rd row: * slip 3 purls, throw yarn over and draw long sts. Transfer the sts to the LH needle and knit them together as cross knit st, don’t throw the sts from needle; 1 yarn over, cross knit st. Throw the st from needle*; repeat from * to *.
