​Set of Long Sleeve and Shorts for Baby

You’ll need:

250g of thin 100% acryl yarn in pink color;

Knitting needles 4 and 4,5;

Crochet hook 3,5;

6 buttons;

60 cm elastic lace.

Size: 6-9 months.

Stitches control: 19 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Used Patterns

Garter stitch: all knit sts;

Stockinette stitch: in RS row – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

1 x 1 rib;

Fancy pattern: 1^st row: 1 selvage st, * purl5tog, make 5 sts out of 1 st (1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st)*; repeat from * to * to the end of row, 1 selvage st;

2^nd and all the even rows: purl;

3^rd row: 1 selvage st, make 5 sts out of 1 st (1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st), purl5tog*; repeat from * to *, 1 selvage st;

5^th, 7^th, 9^th, 11^th rows: knit.

Repeat 1^st-12^th rows.

Instructions

Long Sleeve

Note: work in 2 threads of yarn.

Right Half of Back

Cast on 32 sts with knitting needles 4 and make 2 cm of garter stitch. Then, make 26 sts with fancy pattern and 6 sts of garter stitch for the fastener placket with knitting needles 4,5. At 28 cm height, finish your work.

Left Half of Back

Make in symmetry to the right half.

Front

Cast on 50 sts with knitting needles 4 and make 2 cm of garter stitch. Then, work with the fancy pattern with knitting needles 4,5. At 25 cm height, bind off the central 10 sts for the neck-hole, bind off 3 sts and 2 sts from both sides. At 28 cm height, finish your work.

Sleeves

Cast on 26 sts with knitting needles 4 and make 2 cm of garter stitch. Then, work with the fancy pattern with knitting needles 4,5, increase 6 sts in WS row. Increase 4 x 1 st in every 6^th row. At 21 cm height, finish your work.

Assembly

Make all the seams and sew up the sleeves in the arm-holes. Fasten the neck-hole with 1 row of single crochets and 1 row of “shrimp stitch”. Sew the buttons.

Shorts

Front and Back

Make 2.

Make both pants at the same time. Cast on 20 sts for each pant and make 1 row of purls. Continue work with fancy pattern. Make 10 rows, connect the sts of both pants, cast on 6 sts between them and continue work with stockinette stitch. In 20 cm, make 5 cm of rib and finish your work.

Assembly

Make all the seams. Insert the string and sew it from WS. Insert the elastic lace.
