​Colorful Zigzags Blouse

You’ll need:

100 (150) 150g of white and yellow-green yarn Panlino (60% cotton, 40% polyacryl; 90m/50g);

100g of the same yarn, but in blue, yellow and light-blue colors;

Straight and circle knitting needles 4.

Size: S-M.

Used Patterns

Zigzag pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 16 + 3 + 2 selvedge sts.

Work due to the scheme, on which only RS rows are stated, make WS rows due to the ornament, make yarn overs in the 2^nd and 6^th rows – as purls, in the 4^th and 8^th rows – as knit sts.

Start with 1 selvedge st and sts before pattern repeat, pattern repeat, finish with 1 selvedge st.

Repeat 1^st-8^th rows;

Pattern for the yoke: the quantity if sts is multiple 16.

Work in the same way, as zigzag pattern, but with circle rows, repeat only the sts of pattern repeat. In even rows make sts due to the ornament, in 2^nd and 6^th rows make yarn overs as knit sts, in 4^th and 8^th rows – as purls.

Repeat 1^st-8^th rows.

Stripes order: 8 rows of white yarn, 8 rows of blue yarn, 8 rows of light-blue yarn, 8 rows of yellow yarn, 8 rows of yellow-green yarn.

Note

For M size, start with 8 rows of yellow-green yarn.

Stitches control: zigzag pattern: 18 sts x 22 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back/Front

Cast on 85 (101) sts with criss-cross method with white yarn and work with zigzag pattern due to the stripes order.

In 36,5 cm = 80 rows (40 cm = 88 rows) from the set-up row, bind off 10 sts from both sides for arm-holes and leave the rest 65 (81) sts.

Yoke

Cast on 47 sts with white yarn and circle knitting needles for left sleeve, make 65 (81) sts due to the ornament of front, cast on 47 sts for the right sleeve, make 65 (81) sts due to the ornament of back and knit on all 224 (256) sts with pattern for yoke due to the stripes order, start with 2^nd circle row = 14 (16) pattern repeats.

For better fitting, make knit5tog instead of knit3tog in the 11^th, 19^th and 27^th rows in every pattern repeat = 140 (160) sts.

In 33^rd circle row in every pattern repeat, knit the 2^nd and 3^rd sts together from end as knit = 126 (144) sts.

In 35^th circle row in every pattern repeat, make knit5tog instead of knit3tog = 98 (112) sts.

In 41^st circle row in every pattern repeat, knit the last 2 sts together as knit st = 84 (96) sts.

Note: for size M, knit4tog instead of knit3tog in every pattern repeat = 84 (88) sts.

In 22 cm = 48 circle rows (23,5 cm = 52 circle rows) from the beginning of yoke, bind off the sts of yoke as knit sts.
