You’ll need:

850 (900/1000)g of Gedifra Extra Soft Merino yarn (100% Merino; 105m/50g);

Knitting needles 4,5;

Circle knitting needles 4,5 and 5,5 (40 cm long);

Auxiliary needle.

Size: XS; S; M.


Used Patterns

3 x 3 rib;

Stockinette stitch in RS – knit sts, in WS row – purls;

Main pattern: the quantity of sts is multiple 6.

1st-2nd rows: stockinette stitch;

3rd row: * transfer 3 sts to the auxiliary needle behind work, 3 knit sts, 3 knit sts from the auxiliary needle*; repeat from * to *;

4th-10th rows: stockinette stitch;

11th row: * transfer 3 sts to the auxiliary needle in front of work, 3 knit sts, 3 knit sts from the auxiliary needle*; repeat from * to *;

12th-16th rows: stockinette stitch.

Repeat 1st-16th rows.


Stitches control: main pattern: 27-28 sts x 26 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Back

Cast on 128; 140; 158 sts and make 16 cm of 3 x 3 rib, start the 1st WS row with selvedge st, 3 knit sts and finish with 3 purls, 1 selvedge st. Increase 1 st from both sides in the last WS row = 130; 142; 160 sts.

Then, knit in the following way: 1 selvedge st, 1 st of stockinette stitch, 126; 138; 156 sts of the main pattern, 1 st of stockinette stitch, 1 selvedge st. In 54; 52; 50 cm from the beginning of arm-hole, bind off 4 sts from both sides, then, 3 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row. Totally, 106; 118; 136 sts. In 70 cm from the beginning of work, bind off the central 42; 42; 48 sts for the neck-hole, then, for smooth rounding, bind off 3 x 3 sts and 1 x 2 sts in every 2nd row. In 74 cm from the beginning of work, bind off 21; 27; 33 sts for each shoulder.

Front

Make in the same way, as back, but in 67 cm from the beginning of work, bind off the central 24; 24; 30 sts for the neck-hole, then, 1 x 5 sts, 1 x 4 sts, 1 x 3 sts, 3 x 2 sts and 2 x 1 st in every 2nd row.

In 74 cm from the beginning of work, bind off 21; 27; 33 sts for each shoulder.

Sleeve

Cast on 80 sts and make 2 cm with 3 x 3 rib, start with 1 selvedge st, 3 knit sts and finish with 3 purls, 1 selvedge st in the 1st WS row. Then, make 19 rows with the main pattern. After 3 crossings of sts, continue work with 3 x 3 rib, as in the beginning of work.

In 19 cm, continue work, increasing 1 st in the 4th row from both sides for sleeve chamfers, then increase 1 st x 7 in every 8th row (1 st x 6 in every 6th row, 1 st x 6 in every 4th row/ 1 st x 12 in every 4th row, 1 st x 6 in every 2nd row) = 96 (106/118) sts.

In 45 cm from the beginning of work, bind off 4 sts from both sides for sleeve caps, then 3 x 2 sts in every 2nd row, 14 (13/10) x 1 st , 1 (2/5) x 2 sts and 1 x 4 sts. Then, bind off the rest 36 (44/50) sts.

Total height is 60 cm.

Make the second sleeve in the same way.


Finishing

Make all connecting seams, sew the sleeves.

Cast on 138 (138/150) sts along the neck-hole line on circle knitting needles and leave your work. Cast on 138 (138/150) sts on another knitting needle for neck-hole trim and make 3 x 3 rib, start with 3 purls and finish with 3 knit sts. After the 3rd row, make 19 rows with the main pattern, then, again with 3 x 3 rib. In 15 cm from the beginning of work, return the previously left sts and make knit2tog, taking 1 st from the neck-hole and 1 st from the trim. Make 3 rows of stockinette stitch. Then, sew these sts from WS, bind off the neck-hole trim.
