Helping our users. Crochet Apron for Soap Dispancer.
You’ll need:
Odds of Oswal Cashmilon acrylic 4-ply yarn;
Crochet hook 4 mm.
Notes
1. Measure your bottle(s) and figure out what approx length and width you’d like.
2. You also need to measure the ‘neck’ of your bottle and ensure that you start with sufficient stitches to go around the neck.
Instructions
Start : (Using white) : with about 18 ch .
Join with a sl-st to the 1st st.
(If you have a standard dispenser bottle, this should be about right. In case it’s too tight, increase the number of stitches. It does not affect the pattern. We use chain as against magic circle as we want a fixed opening)
Half Double Crochet : Hdc : yo, insert hk into st ; yo (3 lps on hk) ;
yo, draw through all 3 lps. One hdc made.
Round 1 : (Using white) : 2 hdc in the 1st ch and in each ch all around.
Join with a sl-st to the 1st st. (36).
In case you find it tedious to go into the chain, work your stitches into the loop.
Fasten off white. Attach red yarn.
Now let’s make this a little easier for ourselves. Place markers.
Place a marker in the the 9th, 18th and 27th st.
Round 2 : (Using red) : 2 dc in 1st st ;
(dc in each st till the marker ; 2 dc in the marked st) ;
rep (to) all around and join with a sl-st to the 1st st.
From now on, we will use red yarn all the way to the end.
Move markers.
In this row, we will work 2 dc in each of the 2 sts we increased last time.
So place your marker in the 1st of the 2 sts.
Round 3 : 2 dc in 1st 2 sts ;(dc in each st till the marker ;
2 dc in the marked st and the next st) ;
rep (to) all around and join with a sl-st to the 1st st.
Round 4 : dc in 1st st and in each st all around.
Join with a sl-st to the 1st st.
In the following round, we will be working for only the chest portion and then sectioning out a few stitches that will make the armhole opening.
We will also start using our Shell stitch from here on.
The Shell st is (2 dc ; ch 2, 2 dc) all in the same st or ch-sp.
Round 5 : Shell st in 1st dc ;
(sk next dc ; Shell st in the next dc) ;
rep (to) once ;
sk next 13 sts ; rep (to) 6 times ;
sk next 13 sts, rep (to) till end.
Join with a sl-st to the 1st st.
From now on, you will work the Shell st in the ch-sp of the earlier Shell st. We will work in rounds all through.
Round 6 : Shell st in 1st Shell st and in each Shell st till end.
Join with a sl-st to the 1st st.
Rep Round 6 till you are one row/round away from the edge. We will work a border round to finish the cute red dress off. I have opted to work in white for the border. Fasten off red yarn. Attach white yarn.
Border Round : (Using white yarn) :
sl-st into the 1st ch-sp ;
6 dc in the same ch-sp ;
(sc in the sp between 2 Shell sts ; 6 dc in the next Shell st) ;
rep (to) all around.
Join with a sl-st to the 1st st.
Fasten off and weave in all ends.
