​Relief and Pearled Patterns Afghan

You’ll need:

1360g of yarn (82% acryl, 10% wool, 8% viscose; 97m/170g);

Circle knitting needles 8 (75 cm long).

Size: 117 x 137 cm.

Used Patterns

Double broaching: slip 1 knit st, knit2tog, throw the slipped st on the knit st;

Decrease with left decline: slip2 sts to the right-hand needle, leave unfinished. Insert the left-hand needle in 2 slipped sts from left to right, making them as 1 st through the upper lobes;

Pearled pattern:

1^st row: 1 knit st, 1 purl;

2^nd row: purls above knit sts, knit sts above purls.

Relief pattern:

1^st row: 1 knit st, * 1 yarn over, decease with left decline, 7 knit sts, knit2tog, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to * on all the sts;

2^nd and all wrong-side rows: purls;

3^rd row: 1 knit st, * 1 yarn over, decease with left decline, 5 knit sts, knit2tog, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to * on all the sts;

5^th row: 1 knit st, * (1 yarn over, decease with left decline) x twice, 3 knit sts,( knit2tog) x twice, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to * on all the sts;

7^th row: 1 knit st, *1 knit st, (1 yarn over, decease with left decline) x twice, 1 knit st,( knit2tog, 1 yarn over) x twice, 2 knit sts*; repeat from * to * on all the sts;

9^th row: 1 knit st, * (1 yarn over, decrease with left decline) x twice, double broaching, 1 yarn over, (knit2tog, 1 yarn over) twice, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to * on all the sts;

11^th row: 1 knit st, * 3 knit sts, knit2tog, 1 yarn over, 1 knit st, 1 yarn over, decrease with left decline, 4 knit sts*; repeat from * to * on all the sts;

13h row: 1 knit st, * knit2tog, 1 yarn over, 3 knit sts, 1 yarn over, decrease with left decline, 3 knit sts*; repeat from * to * on all the sts;

15^th row: 1 knit st, * 1 knit st, (knit2tog, 1 yarn over) x twice, 1 knit st, (1 yarn over, decrease with left decline) x twice, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to * on all the sts;

17^th row: 1 knit st, *(knit2tog, 1 yarn over) x twice, 3 knit sts, (1 yarn over, decrease with left decline) x twice, 1 knit st*; repeat from * to * on all the sts;

19^th row: knit2tog, 1 yarn over, *(knit2tog, 1 yarn over) x twice, 1 knit st, (1 yarn over, decrease with left decline) x twice, 1 yarn over, double broaching, 1 yarn over*; repeat from * to * on all the sts;

20^th row: purl.

Vertical pattern repeat – 1^st-20^th rows.

Stitches control: 8 sts x 13 rows = 10 x 10 cm.

Instructions

Cast on 95 sts and make 6 rows with pearled pattern. Then, make 5 sts of pearled pattern from the sides, make central part with the relief pattern. Repeat the relief pattern 8 times. Finish work with 6 rows of pearled pattern. Bind off the sts.
