Leather Wide Belt

You'll need:

2 colors of leather: for belt - 15 x 90 cm, for stripes and lace - 25 x 50 cm;

16 half-rings with 4 cm diameter (Union Knopf)

Glue for fabric;

Threads;

Chalk.

The base of the belt is a leather rectangle. A strip of contrasting leather color is threaded through half rings of silver color.

Length of belt: 70−75−80−85 сm.

Cutting Out:

belt 72–77–82–87–87 cm long and 13 cm wide

2 strips 37–40–42–45 cm long and 4 cm wide

4 tape parts 50 cm long and 4 cm wide

Instructions

1. Place one end of one strip with the wrong side on the front side of the end of the second strip for a length of 5 mm, glue and stitch on the edge.

2. On the belt, mark the vertical line of the middle with a “magic” tailor's chalk. Place a strip on the belt in the middle, aligning the seam with the marked line of the middle of the belt, and stick the strip along this line.

3. On both sides of the midline, lay a 12.5 cm length on the strip and place marks. Mark vertical lines along the strip at the marks, between the marks line the strip along the longitudinal edges to the edge.

4. Pass each end of the strip into one half-ring, about one half-ring (at a distance of about 7 mm from the first vertical stitch), lay another vertical stitch along the strip (with a foot for attaching zippers).

5. Next, again thread the end of the strip into a half-ring, lay a vertical line near the half-ring and 3 cm from the first line, between the vertical lines, line the longitudinal edges of the strip to the edge. Attach 3 pairs of half rings at each end of the strip in the same way.

6. Stitch the free ends of the strip onto the belt, cutting off the excess. The details of the tape are folded in pairs in the same way as the stripes. Fold both long parts of the tape with the wrong sides and glue them together. Mow the ends. Stitch the tape around the perimeter to the edge, thread into the first pair of half rings on one side.
