Brugge Lace
The technique of Brugge lace is the laying out (crocheting) of a ribbon in complex patterns or elements. The basis of the lace is a ribbon consisting of double crochets and chain sts.
Traditional lace - 4 double crochets and 5 chain sts, but the quantity of sts and crochets can be any you like. The more crochets, the wider is the lace, the more sts, the more relief is the ready-made work.
Make 14 chain sts, insert crochet hook in the 8th chain st and make double crochet.
Make double crochets to end of row. You should get 7 crochets.
Turn your worl, make 7 chain sts, connect them with double crochet in the last crochet of the previous row.
Make 7 double crochets in the 2nd row, including the first crocheted.
Repeat to the needed height.
You'll get lace, consisting of relief edges and densed centre. This lace is usually laid as "snake".
